• Expired Tires — Every RV tire will have a four-digit code stamped on the side. The first two digits are the week of the year they were made and the last two digits are the year they were made.
o Any tire over six years old will need to be replaced.
o Old tires in good condition show the owner did not use it and you must ask yourself why.
Get the CarFax on the RV
While many people think that CarFax is just for cars, it is good on any used vehicle. Always check the CarFax, as they give unbiased and accurate information on the history of the vehicle. You will want to look for water damage, fire damage, bodywork and other claims that may pop up.
While it costs a little bit to check the CarFax, it is worth every penny if it prevents you from buying a lemon.
