RVDA Survey of Dealers Concludes that Lack of Financing Opportunities are Hurting Sales Industry Wide

The survey confirmed what many already believed to be true: the lack of available financing is leaving its mark on the recreational vehicle industry with a notable loss of potential sales. Consumers looking to purchase a new or used RV are finding themselves at a loss as they are unable to find available financing to suit their purchasing needs. Dealerships who participated in the survey received a quick update from RVDA thanking them for their participation and notifying them that the survey confirmed that there is a problem. Lack of financing is inhibiting consumers from making recreational vehicle purchases.
RVDA went on to assure participating dealers that they had already shared the survey data and conclusions with both the RVIA and The American Recreation Coalition as well as other organizations concerned with outdoor recreation. RVDA approached the other organizations with the purpose of forming a unified group to present the message that the need to present RV purchasers with available financing is critical to stimulate RV sales.
RVDA leaders hope to present the information in a way that will make clear the connection between the RV industry and the general state of the economy as a whole. They believe that government leaders need to look at the available information and recognize that by stimulating RV sales they can move towards getting the overall US economy back on track.
